Breeding and selection of queen bees
Apicoltura Belvedere was born in 2011, founded by Yuvan. It begins to grow and take its first steps in the honey market. Over the years, the passion for bees increases and grows, which leads us to focus mostly on the breeding and reproduction of queens. At first a small farm which over time continues to grow, also and above all thanks to the trust that old and new customers offer us. In 2022 Davide joined the business. His contribution enriches the company with new enthusiasm and vitality. Together we acquire high-quality genetic material. The lines already tested are being reproduced, while other lines will be available in the coming years. We continue to strengthen and create new collaborations with beekeepers and breeders from all over Europe, in order to stay updated on the best bee selections. The study never stops, and we are both constantly looking for new information and publications to further increase our knowledge of the most advanced breeding, reproduction and selection techniques.

Yuvan Craveri
With bees it all began in high school. Having obtained my agricultural diploma I decided to get my first hives. It was 2005, the hives increased and I never stopped spending the seasons with the lever in hand.
My interest developed above all in queen breeding. The satisfaction of the first egg laid by a new queen surpassed that of full supers, which over time began to be less and less so. Here was born the awareness that it was necessary to work and study in depth to select and reproduce bees that are increasingly capable of facing the challenges that the new climate and the environments in which we live offer us.
I started inseminating instrumentally and modifying management techniques to optimize the activity.
The further I go, the more, with pleasure, I realize that there is still a very long road ahead of me to travel together with the bees.
Davide Cat Genova
My passion for bees had its roots at a very young age when I decided to take my first training courses in beekeeping. Since then, I have been fortunate enough to be able to follow expert beekeepers and learn the most effective techniques in managing bees. I then continued my studies in the beekeeping sector, attending various specialization courses on the breeding, selection and instrumental insemination of bees. After finishing my agricultural studies, I started working in a beekeeping company specializing in the production of honey, pollen and royal jelly. It was during this time that I became aware of the importance of breeding bees capable of tackling the climate and environmental challenges that beekeepers face today.
I dedicate myself with passion to this activity and I am happy to offer the highest quality queens to all those who want to embark on a sustainable and successful beekeeping journey.
MEL Beekeeping
At the same time, since 2019 we have been actively working in the "MEL" solidarity beekeeping project.
A reality within the social cooperative DSP, bees and social inclusion. The "vision" of the cooperative is that every human activity must not only serve to produce income and "social recognition" for those who practice it, but must contribute to the maintenance and improvement of the environment, of the "common home" Earth in which we all live .
